KS3 Curriculum for Year 7 to Year 12

Art and Design at KS3 follows the National Curriculum of England. The course allows students access to a very wide variety of materials and techniques. In each year students have the opportunity to practice drawing, painting, printing and sculpture skills. In Y9 students can also experience a textiles based project in preparation for the iGCSE Art and design course.

KS4 Curriculum for Years 10, 11

IGSE Art and Design is offered at KS4 using the Edexcel Examination Board. This 2 year course gives an opportunity in Y10 to develop a direction from one of 3 areas. These are Fine Art, Graphics and Textiles. Each unit of work will give students an opportunity to experience each of these elements. In Y11 students will work independently through their chosen direction. They will complete one detailed portfolio unit of work and their final exam.
